In late November and early December 2025, Jelena Đureinović visited Algiers and Oran, thanks to the Centre d’Études Maghrébines en Algérie (CEMA) in Oran, which helped realise the stay as a host institution. The visit involved conducting preliminary research at the National Library of Algeria and the National Archives Center in Algiers on the links between Yugoslavia and Algeria during and after the war of liberation, exchanges with the CEMA and Centre de Recherche en Anthropologie Sociale et Culturelle (CRASC) in Oran, and exploring the culture of remembrance of war and revolution in contemporary Algeria through museums and public spaces, and
